Carol E Haydock - 90 - Rahway

CAROL E HAYDOCK died Sunday June 2, 2019 at her daughter Patricia's home in Stony Point, NY. She was 90. Born in Rahway, she resided in Colonia and Parlin. Mrs. Haydock was a Cashier for Pathmark Supermarket in Linden for 26 yrs. retiring in 1993. She was predeceased by a son Stephen in 1964.
Surviving are 2 sons Michael of South Plainfield and Richard of Sayreville; 5 daughters Karen Kimball of PA, Dorothy Antonio of Parlin, Suzanne Monteleone of TN; Patricia Chiusano of NY and Arlene Dillon of TN; a                          brother Richard C. Meissner of CT;                          10 Grandchildren;  19 Great Grandchildren             and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 7th, 2019 in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway
from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with a service at 6:30pm. Memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.






John DeStefano - 93 - Rahway
7/29/25 – 5/29/19

John DeStefano, 93, of Rahway and Long Beach Island, N.J., passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Born in Rahway, N.J. to the late Frank DeStefano and Anna Carbonara DeStefano, John attended Rahway High School where he played football. Truly a member of The Greatest Generation, he served with the U.S Army’s 29th Infantry, landing on Omaha Beach in the early hours of June 6, 1944. Weeks later, he was wounded at St. Lo, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.  John had a long career in public service as a police officer and detective with the Rahway Police Department, followed by a second career as Director of Security with Shulton Corporation in Clifton, N.J.  In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Marie Pellegrino DeStefano, and his siblings Anthony, Ralph, Marie and Frank DeStefano.   John is survived by his children Ann DeStefano Sutherland (Joseph), Joan DeStefano and John DeStefano (Lori), as well as his grandchildren Rene DeStefano Kashmiri (Ali), Ian DeStefano (Jason Mallada), Brendan DeStefano, Stephen Sutherland, and his great-grandson Casey Kashmiri.   A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Corey Ragan Funeral Home, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Rahway. Interment will be at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice.

Ann Marcellin - 88 - Rahway

ANN MARCELLIN of Rahway died Thursday May 23th, 2019 at RWJUH at Rahway. She was 88. Born in Trinidad, Mrs. Marcellin resided in Rahway for several years. Predeceased by her husband Edward 2004.
Surviving are a son Leo Belfon and his wife Hazel of Rahway. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue,
Rahway. Interment Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. Visitation Wednesday from 9:00am to the time of the
services.

Richard J. Winters Sr. - 72 - Rahway

RICHARD J WINTERS SR. of Rahway died Wednesday May 15th, 2019 at RWJUH at Rahway. He was 72.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. Winters resided in Rahway for the past 40 years. Prior to his retirement in 1995 he worked for Colgate for 30 yrs. in Jersey City. Rich was a communicant of St. Mary's RC Church (Devine Mercy Parish), Rahway. Surviving are his wife Sandra (Miskel) Winters; his sons Richard Jr. and Thomas; a daughter
Dawn Winters; his brother Howard Winters Jr. and his 2 grandchildren Ashley & Paulie. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation Monday 4:00pm to 8:00pm.








William Rack - 59 - Big Bass Lake, PA

WILLIAM RACK of Big Bass Lake, PA died Tuesday May 14th 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Moses Taylor Hospital., Scranton, PA. He was 59. Born in Rahway, Mr. Rack resided in Bridgewater for many years before moving to Big Bass Lake, PA. 9 years ago. 
Prior to his retirement in 2010 from NJ Tranist, he worked as a Assistant Director for 30 years. He was a member of K of C #1146, Rahway. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and Nascar, also he was a handyman that could fix anything and enjoyed grilling; he made the best Burgers. He loved to cook and made the best Chicken Parm.
Surviving are his daughters Andrea Rack and her Fiance' George & Jessica Scuorzo and her husband Nick;
his Mother and Father Noreene & William Rack; brother of Linda Ward and Steven Rack and his wife Jessie;
a grandson Walter and a grandson on the way in July: several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday May 18th, 2019 12noon to 4:00pm at The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway. A service will be held at 3:30pm. Cremation will be private.

Anna M Lukaszewski - 96 - Rahway

Rahway- ANNA M LUKASZEWSKI of Rahway died Monday May 13th, 2019 at Westfield Center, Westfield.
She was 96. Born in Fountain Springs, PA formerly of Elizabeth, she resided in Rahway for 55 yrs.
Prior to her retirement in 1970, she was a factory worker for 30 yrs. with Singer Manufacturing, Elizabeth.
Anna was a member and Past President of the Golden Age Club, Rahway. She is predeceased by her husband Walter 1988, her daughter June Strazdon 1992 and her Granddaughter Dawn Wigfill. Surviving are dear friends Allen and Diana Gilchrest of Rahway.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Ave., Rahway.
Interment Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation Thursday 10:00am to service time.


James M Liddy - 75 - Rahway

JAMES M LIDDY of Rahway died Wednesday April 24, 2019 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
He was 75. Born in Newark, Mr. Liddy resided in Rahway all of his life. James was a US Air Force veteran serving his country proudly during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement several years ago he worked as a Supervisor with the Social Security Administration in Perth Amboy, NJ for many years. Surviving are many cousins and many dear friends. Inturnment and Military Honors will take place on Friday May 10th, 2019 in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 at 1:30PM.

Frank  D Jacik - Rahway

Frank D Jacik of Rahway NJ passed away on April 13th 2019 in Rahway Hospital after a long illness. Born in Rahway in 1963 to Frank A Jacik and the late Francis (Jacik) Bermudes. 
“ Shake” or “Frankie J” as friends would call him was known for his humor, outgoingness and always to have a smile. Frank had a passion for friendship and was always kind and caring for everyone he knew. He was a graduate of Rahway High School in 1982, where he excelled in Baseball and football and became the "Rahway legend". He loved the excitement of the moment and cherished each teammate he played with. 
Frank left behind 4 siblings, Michael Jacik and Terry of SC, Kelly (Jacik)and Clint Huber of SC, Samantha (Jacik) and David Palmucci of Rahway and Cody Jacik of Rahway. Nephews, Cory, Riley, Caiden and Davidlouis,  Nieces, Katie, Kiersy and Grand neice Avalee.  Frank requested a huge party for him and is sorry he couldn’t make it but wanted everyone to enjoy and have a drink on him. 
Please join us on Thursday April 18th anytime between 1pm to 8pm at the Italian American club in Rahway NJ (530 New Brunswick Ave. Rahway, NJ) to celebrate the life of Frankie. That’s the way he wanted it. There will be a small blessing starting at 1:00 preceded by celebration of life for him.
