George Zielenbach III - 63 - Middletown

GEORGE ZIELENBACH III of Middletown died suddenly Monday May 7th 2018 at home. He was 63. Born in Jersey City , resided in Roselle before moving to Middletown 44 yrs. ago. Prior to becoming disabled he worked as a Machine Operator with Hyatt Roller Bearing a division of GM located in Clark. Predeceased by a sister Elizabeth 2012. Surviving are his wife Deborah (Hauschild) Zielenbach; his daughter Dana and her husband Jason and their son Liam Bennett; 2 sisters Maryellen Asch & Barbara Clark; several Nieces & Nephews and 1 special nephew Luke. Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday May 19th, 2018 at Holy Trinity RC Church, 315 1st Street Westfield, NJ at 2:00pm.

Nancy Pritula - 84 - Rahway

NANCY PRITULA of Rahway died suddenly Friday, May 4th 2018 at her home. She was 84. Born in Elizabeth, Nancy resided in Rahway most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary's RC Church Rahway. Prior to her retirement in 2000 she was a Bookkeeper with Parillo, Russo & Grill CPA'S for 20yrs located in Hillside. Surviving are her daughter Debra Mesaros and her husband Bob; 1 sister Beverly Statile; 3 grandchildren Isabella, Gina & Tara. Family will receive friend Wednesday 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Jean (Edwards) Morrissey - 86 - Rahway

JEAN (Edwards) MORRISSEY died Saturday February 10th, 2018 at Holiday Care Center, ,Berkeley Twp. She was 86. Born in Rahway Jean was a life long resided of Rahway. She worked in the admitting office at Trinitas Hospital,cElizabeth for 30 yrs. retiring in 1997. Cremation was private.

Marcel J. Truppa - 97 - Rahway

Marcel J. Truppa, 97, of Rahway passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Elizabeth. Born in Lyon, France, Marcel was raised in Italy before coming to the United States in 1930, where he settled in Rahway. He served honorably in the United States Army during WWII and saw action in Europe and at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as an artist, art director and art consultant for many years before his retirement in 1992. Marcel was an exceptionally talented artist in many mediums, including water colors and oils, and he was inspired by the works of his friend, Joseph Cornell. Marcel loved visiting museums and taking in all that they had to offer. He was very proud of his friendship with the late pop artist Andy Warhol. Marcel was a very generous individual who endowed several scholarships for aspiring artists. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1146 of Rahway and The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 681 of Rahway. Predeceased by his wife, Rachel Truppa, his brother, Clement Truppa and his long time companion, Erika Spiess, he is survived by his daughters, Patricia Wade of Matawan and Marcella Truppa of Cranford; his sister, Josephine Polhemus of Rahway, and; his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM on Friday from the Corey-Ragan Funeral Home, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial from St. Mary's RC Church, Rahway. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clark. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9;00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Raymond C Richards - 94 - Colonia

RAYMOND C RICHARDS of Colonia died peacefully Monday February 5th, 2018 at Riverton Nursing Home, Rahway. He was 94. Born in Irvona, PA, he resided in Colonia 37 yrs. before moving to Toms River in 1990, moving back to Colonia in 2017. Ray proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII aboard the Battleship New Jersey as a Fire Controlman 1st Class, receiving 5 citations and 11 battle stars. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he was a Manager in Lab Animal Research at Merck & Company in Rahway for 43 yrs., Ray was also Past Master of the Lafayette Masonic Lodge #27 Rahway. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 yrs. Mitzi (Warga) Richards 2014; his daughter Donna Cannon, his son-in-law Herbert Cannon, sister Peggy, and brothers Jack, Jim & Chuck Richards Surviving are his daughter Debbie (Steve) Kurtz; 3 sons Ray (Lucie) Richards, Paul (Ginny) Richards and John (Robert) Ragan-Richards. His grandchildren Ray (Sandy) Richards, Vicky (Tommy) Angiolino, Laura (Ryan) Alexander, Robert Richards, Chris (Erin) Kurtz, Becky (Pete) Ruvolo, Matt & Mike Kurtz; great grandchildren Maddalena, Julianna, Gabriella, Taylor, Zachary, Massimo, Drew, Gabriella, Alexis, Noah, Alexander, Chase, Carly, Carmine, Joseph & Jacob; brother and sister-in-law Bob & Dorothy Richards, Gale Richards. as well as many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be Friday 11:30am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway. Entombment Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation Thursday 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Born in Statent Island, NY she resided in Rahway for the past 30 yrs. Surviving are her husband Michael;
her children Michael & Anne Rowan; 2 brothers William & Bryan Post. Family will receive family and friends
on Monday January 29th, 2018 from 6;00PM to 9:00PM. Cremation will be private.

Pauline Polhamus - 95 - Rahway

PAULINE POLHAMUS of Rahway died suddenly on Thursday Januany 18, 2018 at her home. She was 95.
Born in Rahway she was a life long resident. Pauline was a member of St. Thomas Byzantine Catholic Church,
Rahway and was a volunteer in the Kitchen. Member of AARP Rahway Chapter. Predeceased by her Son Edwin
1970, her husband Theodore former Police Chief of Rahway 2006; 3 deceased sisters and 3 deceased brothers. Surviving are a daughter Suzanna Polhamus of Rahway and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday January 26, 2018 at 11:00AM in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue Rahway. Interment Hazelwood Cemetery, Clark. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Memorial gifts to

Raymond Mikell - 70 - Rahway​

RAYMOND "Ray" MIKELL of Rahway died peacefully Sunday January 14th, 2018 at home. He was 70.
Born in Plainfield, Ray resided in South Plainfield for 20 yrs. before moving to Rahway 10 years ago. Mr. Mikell received his BS Degree in Public Administration at the US Armed Forces Institute in 1969, he also served his country prouding with the US Army. Ray had a rewarding career starting in the early 80's when he owed the Scoreboard Pub in Rahway for several years, in 1985 to 1997 he was the president of RM Associates, South Plainfield which was a Sales & Marketing Company; then from 1997 to 2000 he was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Commuter New's NY/NJ located in Woodbridge; from 2000 to 2010 Ray was the Executive Director of The Rahway Center Partenship, Rahway, NJ which oversee the Special Improvement District (SID) of downtown Rahway; from 2010 to 2013 he was a Management Consultant with ETI Management, LLC Bay Head; 2013 to present Fundraising/Development, Union County Preforming Arts Center, Rahway, NJ also he was the Downtown Manager for Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership, Bound Brook, NJ which he oversee the Special Improvement District (SID). Ray was a Board of Trustee Member with Downtown NJ, Community Advisory Panel (CAP) Merck & Co., Trustee on the Rahway Foundation for Excellence in
Education; Silver Life member NJ State PBA, Honorary member Rahway PBA, Honorary member Rahway FMBA & Honorary member Rahway First Aid Squad. Predeceased by a brother Robert 2013 and a sister Alice Maddlina 2017. Surviving are his companion
Karen Schall of Rahway; his sister Gail Zimmer and her husband Henry, his children Raymond Jr. and Debra Mikell; his 2 Step daughters Brittany Schall and Kristen Barber; 2 grandchildren Raelyn & Tyler Mikell.
