Frank Foglia - 81 - Carteret

Carteret FRANK FOGLIA of Carteret died Friday May 26, 2017 peacefully at home with his wife by his side. He was 81. Born in Newark, he resided in Avenel for 26 yrs. moving to Carteret 42 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1991 he worked as a Screw Machine Operator with Regina Corp. in Rahway for 30 yrs. Also he was a Barber for 30 yrs. Frank was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the
Carteret Serenaders. A communicant of St. Andrew's RC Church Avenel. Surviving are his wife of 60 yrs. Janet

Joseph 'Buddy" O. Fiumara - 83 - Rahway

JOSEPH 'BUDDY' O. FIUMARA of Rahway died Wednesday May 10th, 2017 at RWJUH at New Brunswick.
He was 83. Born in Newark, he resided in Ivington before moving to Rahway 17 year ago. Buddy was the owner of B&F Television & Radio Repair Shop in Ivington for 20 yrs. then he worked as a Assembler for 20 yrs. with Plessey Dymanics in East Hanover retiring in 1998. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. A member of the American Legion Post 5, Rahway, V.F.W.Post 6061 of Colonia, a member of the Retired Men's Club Rahway, as well as the Men's Choir of Monmouth Worship Center, Marlboro. Buddy was a friend to many. He was a advit tennis player and enjoyed his Atlantic city Trips. Predeceased by his brother Jerry 1991 and a sister Louise Varacchi 2007. Surviving are his wife Lillian (Polito) Fiumara; a son Louis and his wife Cindy of Freehold; a daughter Marie Maren and her husband Tom of Washington, NJ; his sister in law Fran Fiumara: 7 grandchildren Justine & Alexis Maren, Cayla, Carine, Cori, Cami & Nicholas Fiumara .Funeral services will be Tuesday May 16th at 10:15am from The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue Rahway thence to St. Mary's RC Church, Rahway for a 11:00am funeral Liturgy. Barbara Weingarten - 89 - Rahway​

BARBARA WEINGARTEN OF Rahway died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday April 4th, 2017. She was 89. Born in Poland she settled in Canada, then moved to Queens, NY before moving to Rahway 53 yrs. ago. Prior to her retirement she worked as a line worker for Quinn & Boden, Rahway, then she worked with Supermarket Services in Linden. Barbara was a member of the Deutscher Club of Clark and was a member of the Golden Age Club of Rahway. She enjoyed holiday traditions with her family; baking pies and cookies and sharing her old world recipes. She spent years crocheting blankets and scarves for family and friends and also donated them to people in need. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2004. Surviving are 2 daughters Dorothy Rack of Manville, Gabriele Crowley and her husband Bill of Little Egg Harbor Twp; 5 grandchildren Allyson, Brian (Kate), Andrea (George), Jessica, and Eric; 5 great grandchildren Walter, William, Ella, Ryan, and Katelyn. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway, entombment will follow at Rahway Cemetery. Family will recieve friends on Monday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Michele Hendrickson - 62 - Edison

MICHELE A (Fata) HENDRICKSEN of Edison died peacefully on Saturday, April, 1st 2017 with her family by her side. She was 62. Born in Perth Amboy she resided in Piscataway and then Rahway before moving to Edison 25 yrs. ago. She worked as a Input Technican for 15yrs. with JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was predeceased by her father Salvatore Fata. Surviving are her husband of 37 yrs. Russell; her children Matthew of Granite, Maryland, Jamie Anderson and her husband Michael of Eatontown; her mother Margaret (Lyons) Fata of Edison. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:30am in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Avenue, Rahway. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00pm to 7:00pm and Wednesday 10:00am until the service time.

William Schneider - 87 - Rahway

WILLIAM SCHNEIDER OF Rahway died suddenly Tuesday March 7th, 2017 at home. He was 87.
Born in Manhattan, NY he resided in Rahway most of his life. Mr. Schneider was a Instrument Technician, then he worked for Enterprise Car Rental as a Bus Driver in Teterboro Airport for several years. He was a US Air Corp. Veteran serving during 1946 to 1949. Predeceased by his wife Ann; surviving are 1 son Richard of Baltimore, MD; 1 sister Jeanette Carter-Defuniak of Springs, FL and a grandson Andrew of Silver Springs, MD. Private graveside services were held at Brigadier General William C Doyle Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Twp.. Arrangement have been entrusted to the COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, Rahway.

John  A. Gritenas - 59 - White Haven, PA

JOHN A GRITENAS, of White Haven, PA, formerly of Rahway, died suddenly on Sunday March 19th, 2017 at home. He was 59. He was born and raised in Rahway, and then resided in Kenilworth for years before moving to White Haven, PA 10 years ago. John worked as a Photo ReToucher for 15 years with Toppan Inc. in Springfield, then for NEC in Cranford. John was avid Giants, Rangers and Yankees fan. He played in the Rahway softball league, playing on the Corey & Corey Funeral Home team for many years. John had a passion for Military Aviation and History, enjoyed going to Air Shows, and loved to play Flight Simulators on the computer. John is predeceased by his sister, Darlene Salvia. Surviving are his children; Thomas, and his fiancé Lauren, of Denville, and Danielle, and her companion Brian, of Wilmington, De; 2 sisters Rosemary "Bunny" Capece and her husband Bob, and Debra Gritenas and her husband Richard. Viewing will be Friday March 24th, 2017 at 10am, followed by funeral services in The COREY RAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 259 Elm Ave., Rahway, Nj. Interment will be at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
